Job application tracker

Job Application Tracker

A single-user web app that replaces a spreadsheet for tracking job applications. The job seeker signs in, records each application with company, job title, posting link, stage, contact details, next step and notes, and reviews the timestamped stage-change history.

Users and roles

The people who interact with the product.

Job seeker

The only user of the app. Signs in and creates and manages their own job applications.

  • Record every job application in one place
  • See at a glance which applications are stale or need a next step
  • Keep an accurate, timestamped history of stage changes

Items that should be verified before implementation.

Stage moves are free between any two stages, subject only to the Interview next-step-date rule and the closed-state lock.

High impactAccepted

Sign-in identifies the single job seeker; the app has no sharing, multiple users or roles beyond that one person.

Medium impactAccepted

'No reply' means more than 14 days since the application's last updated date while in Applied or Interview, computed each time the list is opened.
